Eco Friendly Shop supports GFM
Amy Lawson of the Eco Friendly Shop in Glastonbury organised a raffle to raise funds for GFM and enable the lucky winner to listen to GFM in true eco-friendly style.
Amy said “the future was a little shaky for GFM and as a small business I felt it was important to somehow support GFM a local community radio station. I had a discussion with several members of staff and we decided a radio which was portable, lightweight, solar and wind up, was the best idea as whoever won this could also listen to GFM wherever they were in the area. We decided to draw the winner at Glastonbury Harvest Show as this is a community run event which we have tried to support from the start and the hope was it might attract a little more attention for that too. Whilst we benefitted from being mentioned on GFM by doing this I would like to hope it also raised awareness of GFM with some of our customers and visitors to Glastonbury Harvest Show”
