Become A Friend of GFM
GFM is a not for profit radio station run almost entirely by local volunteers managed by a board of directors as part of a Community Interest Company which means that any money made has to go back into the station and the community itself. We are supported by local businesses and receive some help from trusts and grant giving bodies. But the financial help of local people is vital to keep us going.
If you enjoy GFM and want to support our activities you can help by becoming a 'Friend of GFM and taking out a regular standing order or by making a donation. Friends will receive regular information and news about GFM though our newsletter, as well as other benefits such reduced price entry to GFM music events, automatic competition entry and a GFM car sticker.
What your money pays for:
We need to raise £1000 every month to cover our basic costs including licence fees, royalties, premises rent, insurance, volunteer costs, renewal of equipment etc. So if you are able to afford it, we would like you to become a Friend of GFM and give us a monthly donation. A donation of £30 pays for a whole day’s broadcasting and running the studio. 200 listeners giving just £5 per month will enable us to keep going and going and going!
You can get a form from the studio or by downloading it now (100Kb PDF) - just fill in your details, say how much you would like to give us each month, send the form back to us and we'll do the rest. And remember, if you help GFM, GFM can help the community, and that can only be good for you!
